Lying to the south-west of Tavistock and north-east of Plymouth, the Bere Peninsula is rich in all aspects of rural life. The borders of Devon and Cornwall are split by the waters of The River Tamar and met by The River Tavy allowing historic settlements along its banks including Calstock, Weir Quay, Bere Ferrers and Gunnislake.

Renowned for its eco-climate, the peninsula was home to a thriving market gardening industry with stunning rural views often found from many of the properties located in the area, with its southerly aspect looking down to Plymouth Sound far in the distance.

Bere Alston, one of the counties largest villages, boasts numerous shops, doctor’s surgery, primary school and other general amenities, whilst its sister village of Bere Ferrers sits peacefully by the waters’ edge of the Tavy.
