Past and present Managing Directors of Mansbridge Balment travelled to present a cheque to friends at Polzeath Surf Life Saving Club last week. David Balment and Nick Henderson travelled to meet Ben Harbour (right) in Wadebridge for the annual cheque presentation ceremony.
Every Dickensian evening, the staff at Mansbridge Balment work tirelessly to raise money in support of one of their most favoured organisations. The club has helped to train and develop life saving skills for countless individuals over many years. The link between Mansbridge Balment and the club was forged after the tragic loss of two Tavistock boys, one of whom was Tom Balment, the son of David and Sue.
Since David (pictured in the centre) retired from the practice some twelve years ago, the estate agency has continued to raise money in support of this fantastic organisation. “The club does so much to raise awareness and safety levels, while training youngsters to respect the power of the sea and enable them to enjoy the many associated activities. Mansbridge Balment remain enormously proud of our association with the club.” Nick Henderson, present MD at Mansbridge Balment, added that since the firm moved from Brook Street to their new head office in Plymouth Road, they were as busy as ever on Dickensian evening, where a prize draw together with contributions for drinks helps to raise the substantial sum of £800. Plans are well advanced for this year’s event, which will take place in December.
