Set in the heart of the village is this charming two bedroom detached period cottage, benefitting from wonderful gardens to the front and rear and access to the river’s edge, providing either a cosy home or holiday cottage and is available with NO ONWARD CHAIN

A delightful, detached period cottage nestling in the heart of this Dartmoor village.

Dating back around 200 years, or possibly more, the cottage retains a good deal of its original charm which has been enhanced by the addition of gas-fired central heating, a conservatory/garden room, utility and ground floor shower room. There is a sitting room with woodburning stove, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor, and two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom on the first floor.

Outside are pretty gardens both in front and to the rear of the cottage. There is a private lawned area with surrounding planted beds whilst a pathway leading around the property provides access to a pedestrian gate with steps leading down to the river. The gardens offer a wonderful tranquil and secluded feeling. A gateway opens to a path leading to the nearby lane and beyond into the village. The garden also contains two useful outbuildings, a log/garden store and potting shed/garden store.

Horrabridge is dissected by the river Walkham, which goes on to join the Tavy and then Tamar rivers. Open moorland is nearby, and the village amenities include the primary school, two public houses (one of which is due to re-open soon), church, repair garage, bakery, hairdresser, fish and chip shop and village store/post office. There are excellent bus connections with Tavistock (5 miles) and Plymouth (11 miles) and Yelverton (2 miles) where there is a further selection of shops and services.

This charming cottage is being sold with the benefit of no onward chain and provides a wonderful opportunity for someone as a cosy home or holiday cottage.
