This year's Dickensian Evening in Tavistock brought thousands of visitors to the town, where the festive feel really kick started the Christmas buzz in the town.

Mansbridge Balment once again opened their doors to the public.  This year, following a move to new, larger, high-profile offices at Bedford Court on Plymouth Road, the team were busier than ever – offering wine and other refreshments and selling draw tickets in aid of Polzeath Surf Life Saving Club.  The firm has strong links with the Cornish club, which go back for many years.  Managing Director, Nick Henderson, reflected back on a busy night for the firm, whose commitment to the community is well known. “Dickensian evening always seems to bring the best out of people and the town in general.  It is always good to see so many friends old and new – particularly so this year, following the move to our new premises where the profile is that much greater than before.  The staff all worked really hard to make the evening a success and through their efforts we raised hundreds of pounds for the Polzeath team – the work they do is incredibly important and it is a real privilege to be able to help them in some way.  I have to say a HUGE THANKS to everyone involved for their support, in particular all those organisations and individuals who donated prizes for the draw – people have been extremely generous and kind in their support.”
