We had a really positive experience buying a house through Mansbridge Balment, Tavistock. Kevin initially showed us around the property and clearly has lots of experience in doing so. He offered advice when asked and answered all questions that we had, even after the viewing. Dealing with Peter, when our sale fell through, was really straightforward and resolutions were found quickly for all parties involved.

Our existing property was successfully purchased through Mansbridge in Tavistock in 2007. Fourteen years later when it was time to move on, Mansbridge were marketing a new build house that we fell in love with. Unfortunately, it would not be completed till the end of 2022 but to be considered we would have to put our property on the market by the end of February. Mansbridge were given the task of finding a buyer who could possibly wait until our purchase was finished at the end of the year. By April they had but all parties had a stressful roller coaster ride until contracts were exchanged on 18th November. Members of the Mansbridge team that were actively involved in our sale were Nicola, Peter, Richard, Kevin, Tony and not least Dan. When negotiations appeared to be reaching a stalemate Peter was able to broker a favourable deal between our sale and purchase and agents fees that enabled us to proceed for which I am very grateful. Richard and Tony both took some great internal photos and early spring external shots to provide a great presentation for rightmove but when full summer arrived and the garden was looking its best Dan turned up with his camera and added some amazing images of the Barn and its gardens in full bloom, one of which I will have enlarged and mounted for display in our new home.

Mansbridge and Balment are the go-to agents in this area with good and justifiable reason. They have a long standing relationship within the community in which they are held in general high regard. They have extensive and detailed knowledge of the local housing market. The staff are professional and motivated and specialise in building individual relationships which eases the process of buying/selling a property. The offices are friendly and welcoming. On a more personal level our case was long and protracted (Probate related) and we would like to mention both Nicola and Peter who were always on the end of the phone when spirits were flagging. Nicola in particular I cannot rate highly enough, extremely experienced and in total command of her job. The team have a way of making you feel they have a genuine care and offer all necessary help and guidance right through the various stages until completion.
